Bandai Spirits has announced the reissue of the highly anticipated ROBOT魂 ＜SIDE MS＞ RX-78NT-1 Gundam NT-1 & Chobham Armor ver. A.N.I.M.E. figure for general retail. This updated release, straight from the classic OVA Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, delivers a faithful representation of the mobile suit's anime proportions while integrating an advanced level of articulation. Pre-orders for this collectible action figure are set to begin on July 1, 2025.

About the RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex"
The RX-78NT-1 Gundam "Alex" is a prototype mobile suit from the Earth Federation, specifically designed for Newtype pilots. Developed in secret during the One Year War, its objective was to replace the RX-78-2 Gundam, which was beginning to be outmatched by the capabilities of its pilot, Amuro Ray. The "Alex" featured significant improvements, such as increased mobility thanks to additional thrusters and the revolutionary 360-degree panoramic cockpit, which offered an unprecedented field of view. Its main feature was the composite Chobham armor, a detachable additional plating that drastically increased its defensive capacity without completely sacrificing mobility. Despite its advanced design, it was severely damaged in combat in the Side 6 colony before it could be delivered to Amuro.
