MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type

The MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type is an upgraded version of the MS-06R-1, developed in June UC 0079. Its main modification was replacing the external propellant tanks with an interchangeable fuel cartridge system, which optimized refueling times in combat. Due to its high production cost and handling complexity for inexperienced pilots, its manufacturing was limited to just 56 units. Its high performance and scarcity made it a highly prestigious unit among the pilots of the Principality of Zeon.

Pilot: Ensign Uma Lightning

Uma Lightning is a pilot featured in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden. Known by the nickname "Blue Lightning" due to his mobile suit's color, he was a member of the Chimera Corps, an elite Zeon unit. The character's story is set in UC 0090 and explores his involvement in post-war conspiracies and his interest in the legend of pilot Johnny Ridden.
