Kit Features and Contents

This model kit is distinguished by its premium-style finishes, specifically designed to align with the Real Grade line. The plastic is molded in a color palette chosen to match the tones of the RG 1/144 Gundam Exia. Assembly is snap-fit and utilizes a combination of PS, PE, and ABS plastics. A Phillips screwdriver (not included) is required to fasten metal screws, which reinforce the model's structure due to its significant size and weight.

Box Contents:

  • Parts to assemble the GN Arms TYPE-E unit.
  • A newly designed "Realistic Decals" sheet.
  • A display stand for the model.

Important Clarification: The kit does NOT INCLUDE any Mobile Suit unit. The Gundam Exia shown in the promotional images is sold separately.

Grade Synergy: Bridging High Grade and Real Grade

The design of the GN Arms allows for compatibility with both the RG 1/144 Gundam Exia and the HG 1/144 Gundam Exia and its variants. However, the product's features, such as the "Real Color" designation and the included decals, are clearly oriented towards a combination with the Real Grade kit. This approach incentivizes owners of an HG Exia to acquire the RG kit to achieve the visually promoted combination. In this way, the GN Arms acts as a catalyst for the sale of another, higher-priced product.

Units and Pilots of the Gundam 00 Universe

GNR-001E GN Arms Type-E
This is a mobile weapons platform developed by Celestial Being as a docking system for the Gundam Exia, forming the GN Armor configuration. It operates with a GN Particle condenser, giving it limited independent operation time and requiring Exia's GN Drive for sustained performance. Its armament includes two large GN cannons, two large GN swords, and two GN beam guns. The unit was piloted by Lasse Aeon in 2308 AD.

GN-001 Gundam Exia
This is Celestial Being's third-generation Gundam, specializing in close-quarters combat. Its design prioritizes agility over armor. Its primary arsenal consists of seven bladed weapons. The assigned pilot is Setsuna F. Seiei. In the GN Armor configuration, the unit is co-piloted: Lasse Aeon controls the propulsion and main armament of the GN Arms, while Setsuna F. Seiei operates the Exia and the mobile arm weapons.

Comparative Analysis: Kit Evolution

The mold for the HG GN Arms was first released in 2008 as part of a set that included an HG Gundam Exia in "Trans-Am Mode." In contrast, the Real Color version, originally launched in 2014, was marketed as a standalone product. It features a different color palette, higher-quality decals, and is positioned as an accessory for a superior-grade kit. Celestial Being also developed the GN Arms Type-D for the Gundam Dynames. This model replaced the close-combat weaponry with a GN Twin Rifle and a missile container for long-range combat.
