This model kit recreates the anti-ship assault mobile suit that served as the testbed for the later mass-production Stark Jegan, distinguished by its imposing weaponry and unique design that sets it apart from other Jegan variants.

Key Features
The Prototype Stark Jegan is designed for mid-range combat operations, and its equipment reflects this specialization. The unit's most prominent feature is the four large anti-ship missiles mounted on a movable platform over the shoulders and backpack, allowing their angle to be adjusted for firing or standby poses. The mobile suit features additional armor on various parts of the body, such as the chest—which houses a two-seat cockpit—and on the forearms and legs; these parts can be ejected if necessary. Its standard armament includes a head-mounted 60mm Vulcan gun, two beam rifles (one of which is the same type used by the standard Jegan), a beam saber stored in the right forearm, and a hyper bazooka for additional firepower.

About the RGM-89S Prototype Stark Jegan
The RGM-89S Prototype Stark Jegan is an assault mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces as a modified version of the RGM-89 Jegan. Its primary purpose was to serve as a functional testbed for the development of the RGM-89S Stark Jegan, which would be based on the RGM-89D Jegan D Type frame. Although not as heavily armored as its final production version, some parts of its armor utilized the durable Gundarium alloy. A limited number of these units were manufactured and assigned to the Londo Bell task force, participating actively in crucial battles during the Laplace Incident in U.C. 0096, including the Battle of Industrial 7 and the assault on Palau.
