RGM-79 GM
The RGM-79 GM was the first mass-produced mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces, derived from combat data gathered from the RX-78-2 Gundam. Its basic frame proved to be highly adaptable, accommodating numerous modifications for specific missions. Equipped with titanium alloy armor, the GM was lighter and more agile than its Zeon counterpart, the Zaku II, outpacing it in acceleration both in space and on Earth. Its primary armament consisted of a beam spray gun, capable of destroying other mobile suits with a single shot. This is complemented by a beam saber for close combat and head-mounted 60mm vulcan cannons. The mass production of the GM was a crucial factor in the Federation’s victory, establishing the foundation for the RGM series of mobile suits for over fifteen years.

The GM's beam spray gun is capable of destroying other mobile suits.
