This custom unit is piloted by Ensign Xavier Olivette, a distinguished graduate of the Flanagan School. In the narrative of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," which takes place in an alternate Universal Century timeline where Zeon won the One Year War, Xavier Olivette initially piloted a prototype Gundam before receiving this modified Gyan, which features a distinctive white and gold color scheme.
The Gyan (Hakuji Equipment) made a notable appearance in Episode 7 of the series, "The Nyaan Rebellion." The series follows Amate Yuzuriha, who becomes involved in Mobile Suit duels and ends up piloting the Gundam unit that Xavier previously lost.
