Features

This kit's engineering borrows from the HGBD Gundam Seltsam and HGBD Gundam Tertium models, providing it with a modern joint structure. This snap-fit kit requires no glue, and the parts are molded in translucent colored plastic. While visually appealing for its view of the internal movable frame, this material is more brittle and prone to showing cut marks, so precision tools are recommended for a clean finish.

Despite its modern base, the model's overall articulation is functional but limited. The bulky armor design, faithful to the original 1980s concept, physically restricts the internal skeleton's range of motion, especially at the shoulders and skirts. This kit delivers canonical visual fidelity rather than extreme posability.

MSF-007 Gundam Mk-III

The Gundam Mk-III was developed by Anaheim Electronics in U.C. 0087, during the Gryps Conflict, based on analysis of an RX-178 Gundam Mk-II unit stolen from the Titans by the AEUG. Key innovations included a complete overhaul of the movable frame structure for greater agility and the adoption of Gundarium alloy for the armor, a lighter and more resistant material.

The Mk-III was designed to perfect the concept of a non-transformable, general-purpose mobile suit, aiming for more organic movement and overcoming its predecessor's structural weaknesses. However, its development was concurrent with the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam, whose transformation capability offered a superior strategic advantage. With limited resources, the AEUG prioritized the Zeta concept, and the Mk-III program was surpassed.

The kit's internal structure is based on the modern engineering of HGBD models.

The most notable unit, "Unit 8," was finished in a distinctive red and intended for ace pilot Quattro Bajeena. During its transport, it was intercepted by Axis forces. The escort pilot, Boyd Swan, managed to repel the attack using the prototype, but the unit was severely damaged and never reached its designated pilot.

This clear version offers a unique look at the Mk-III's engineering. Do you prefer clear variants for their technical look, or do you stick to standard color releases? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
