This view showcases the five distinct items available in the blind-box collection.
Bandai has confirmed the long-awaited reissue of the "Mobile Suit Gundam MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE 12" figure collection, great news for collectors and Gundam modeling enthusiasts. Pre-orders for this coveted set are exclusively available through the Gashapon Online service. While these pre-orders are exclusive to Japan, such items are commonly made available to international customers at a later date through specialized retailers. This initiative is a strategic response to the high sustained demand for the product, originally released in late 2019, and regulates prices in the secondary market, where the set has reached considerably high values.
Maintaining its original price of 500 JPY per try, the collection includes five different items in a blind box format. The pre-order period runs from June 20 to July 15, 2025, with an estimated shipping date in late October of the same year.
Mobile Suit Overview
YG-111 G-Self
Hailing from the anime series Gundam Reconguista in G, the YG-111 G-Self is a unique prototype built by rebels from the Towasanga lunar colony. Its design is based on ancient "Rose of Hermes Blueprints" and incorporates an advanced material called "Photon Frame" for superior performance. Operation of the unit is restricted by the "Rayhunton Code," limiting its use to a small number of individuals, including protagonist Bellri Zenam. A key feature of the G-Self is its system of interchangeable backpacks ("Packs"), which provide specialized capabilities for different combat environments.
The G-Self is depicted with its signature beam rifle and shield, ready for combat.
FA-78-3 Full Armor 7th Gundam
Originating from the Mobile Suit Variation (M-SV) conceptual designs, this Mobile Suit was updated for its appearance in the video game Mobile Suit Gundam Battlefield Record U.C. 0081. The FA-78-3 is the full-armor space combat version of the RX-78-7 Gundam. Unlike other "Full Armor" models, its additional armor components integrate sub-generators and propellant tanks to maintain peak performance. Its design delivers overwhelming offensive firepower, with an arsenal that includes a beam cannon, multiple missile launchers, and hand cannons. It was assigned to pilot Hugues Courand of the "Phantom Sweeper" unit to hunt down Zeon remnants.
The integrated sub-generators in its armor ensure no loss in mobility despite the added weight.
MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type (Black Tri-Stars Custom)
As one of the most famous variants of the One Year War, this unit belongs to the MSV line. The MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type is an upgraded version of the standard Zaku II, equipped with additional thrusters on the legs and backpack that provide superior speed and maneuverability. The custom units for the elite Zeon team known as the "Black Tri-Stars" (Gaia, Mash, and Ortega) became legendary on the battlefield, representing a significant advancement in Zeon engineering before the introduction of new-generation Mobile Suits.
This custom unit became feared on the battlefield for its exceptional speed and pilot skill.
G-Self Space Backpack & MS Weapons Set
Two additional sets complete the collection. The "G-Self Space Backpack" is a component that allows the G-Self to adopt its space combat configuration, directly illustrating the customization philosophy of the Ensemble line. Meanwhile, the "MS Weapons Set" expands the equipment options for the other figures in the set, providing additional weaponry like rifles and shields, which is essential for outfitting units like the Zaku II.
This expansion pack highlights the modular design central to the Ensemble series.
This set offers modelers a wide range of customization options for their figures.
