The Mobile Suit Gundam franchise continues its expansion with the announcement of new collectible figures inspired by the emerging series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (ジークアクス). These releases, planned for 2025, underscore the interest in this new installment and fan demand. Manufacturer Megahouse will present two figures: the "Rukappu" figures, with their distinctive chibi aesthetic, which will include Amate Yuzuriha (Machu) in a pilot suit and Shuji Ito. Pre-orders for both Gundam figures will begin on June 5, 2025.
This diversified merchandising strategy seeks to attract different segments of the Gundam GQuuuuuuX collector market from the early stages of the series. The Rukappu figures, approximately 110mm tall and made of PVC, are characterized by their "look up" design and articulated neck. They will be offered individually at 4,620 yen (tax included) and in an exclusive Premium Bandai set with both figures and two "zabuton" mini cushions for 9,240 yen (tax included), with a release scheduled for late December 2025. These 2025 collectible figures promise to be a hit among fans.

gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is set in an alternate Universal Century timeline, specifically U.C. 0085, where the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War after Char Aznable captured the RX-78-02 Gundam. Five years later, the plot follows Amate Yuzuriha ("Machu"), a student who becomes the pilot of the mobile suit gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX and participates in "Clan Battles," illegal mobile suit duels. In this context, Shuji Ito, pilot of the "Red Gundam" (model gMS-α Red Gundam), crosses her path. The series features a creative collaboration between Sunrise and Studio Khara, involving figures such as Kazuya Tsurumaki, Yoji Enokido, Hideaki Anno, and Ikuto Yamashita. The gMS-Ω GQuuuuuuX, piloted by Machu, is central to these confrontations, distinguished by a design that some describe as more organic and slender, reflecting the stylistic influence of the creators involved. Fans of Gundam anime and Gundam modeling (Gunpla) will surely follow this new series closely.
