As part of the 63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show, Bandai Spirits unveiled a prototype that has generated great excitement: the "HG 1/144 Sayla's Custom Light Cannon" Gunpla, based on the new anime series "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX." It is important to note that the available information is based on the sample exhibited during the event, as the model is not yet available for public sale. This upcoming release stands out for its association with a reimagined version of the iconic Sayla Mass and for its distinctive tricolor scheme—a color palette traditionally reserved for the mobile suits of protagonists or elite pilots.

HG 1/144 Sayla's Custom Light Cannon
The exhibited prototype belongs to the High Grade (HG) 1/144 scale line, known for offering a remarkable balance between detail and ease of assembly through a snap-fit system that requires no glue. The most notable feature of the sample is its tricolor palette (white, blue, red, and yellow), which visually distinguishes it from the standard, predominantly red version of the "Light Cannon." Since this is a preview of an unreleased product, its final release date and price have not been announced. However, it has been suggested that it could be an exclusive edition from the Premium Bandai (P-Bandai) online store, which would reinforce its status as a collector's item.

The model represents the "White Guncannon," the mobile suit piloted by Sayla Mass in the alternate timeline of "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX." In this universe, where the Principality of Zeon won the One Year War, Sayla becomes an ace pilot for the Federation, and her unit achieves legendary status in its fight against Zeon forces, including Char Aznable's "Red Gundam." The "Light Cannon" designation—or "Light-Type Guncannon" as it's referred to in other sources—could allude to a more agile variant or one with specific armament that differentiates it from traditional Guncannons.
