Model Kit Features

The Pale Rider Cavalry is distinguished by a unique silhouette, achieved through newly molded parts that set it apart from other variants. The head features a heroic design with dual V-antennas and a visor made of clear, translucent blue plastic. To ensure high performance, it is equipped with a high-mobility backpack featuring six thrusters and two detachable propellant tanks.

A central narrative feature of the Pale Rider is the HADES system, and this Gunpla kit allows builders to represent the unit in either its Normal state (blue visor) or with the system activated (red visor) using interchangeable parts. Additionally, metallic stickers are included to simulate the overheating of the body's ventilation grilles, changing their color to a golden hue.

The armament is one of the kit's highlights. The centerpiece is the "Shekinah," a multifunctional composite weapon that integrates a giant Gatling gun, a mega beam launcher, and a micro-missile launcher. The missile hatches can be displayed open or closed by swapping parts, and a physical cable connects the weapon to a power unit on the waist, adding remarkable mechanical realism. This arsenal is complemented by a newly molded Beam Javelin, featuring an effect part in clear pink plastic and a left hand part specifically designed to hold it, expanding the possibilities for dynamic poses.

Despite being a premium release, the kit is based on the engineering of the original 2014 model, so its internal structure and use of polycaps are from a previous generation. This results in competent articulation but with weaknesses in the stability of certain joints, such as the wrists, which may struggle to support the weight of large weapons over the long term. Its main drawback is the reliance on stickers for color correction in key areas like the shield and vents, so painting is recommended to achieve its full visual potential.

RX-80PR-2 Pale Rider Cavalry

The RX-80PR-2 Pale Rider Cavalry was conceived as the refined, mass-production version of the original prototype, simplifying its design for deployment in squadrons. Its technological lineage derives from high-performance units like the RGM-79SP GM Sniper II and the Gundam G04 and G05. At the heart of the unit is the HADES (Hyper Animosity Detect Estimate System), an evolution of the Blue Destiny's EXAM system. This system removes the mobile suit's safety limiters to maximize its performance and processes combat data at superhuman speeds. However, this power subjects the pilot to extreme physical and mental strain, with the risk of the AI taking full control of the unit in a "berserker" state. The entire project, which included other prototypes like the White Rider and Black Rider, was developed in an incredibly short two-week timeframe near the end of the One Year War, thanks to its leader's influence and the reuse of existing technologies.
