Key Features
This expansion set equips the Gundam F90 with two distinct tactical configurations, each featuring precise mechanical details and gimmicks.
The Mission Pack O-Type (Officer) is designed for a command role. Its backpack is equipped with a large blade antenna to enhance communications and a Vulcan cannon pod for close-quarters defense. The primary armament is a reinforced beam rifle with a telescoping barrel, allowing it to switch between a rapid-fire mode and a high-power, long-range mode. The rifle's energy pack is detachable. To accommodate the new backpack, the beam sabers are relocated to a new mount on the side hip armor.

The Mission Pack U-Type (Up-Lift) transforms the F90 for unassisted atmospheric escape. Its main component is a colossal thruster unit that, once attached, gives the assembly a total length of approximately 30 cm (approx. 11.8 in). The anchor structure attaches to hardpoints on the shoulders, waist, and legs to distribute stress. Additionally, fairing covers are installed on the chest and head to protect the mobile suit during its violent ascent. The frame connecting to the legs features four points of articulation for precise adjustment.

Mobile Suit Summary: F90 Gundam F90
The F90 Gundam F90 is a prototype mobile suit developed by the Strategic Naval Research Institute (S.N.R.I.) during the late Universal Century. It was the centerpiece of the "Formula Project," an initiative to counter the trend of increasingly large and costly mobile suits. Standing at just 14.8 meters (approx. 5.8 ft), the F90 represented a return to smaller, more agile units, but with superior performance thanks to more efficient reactors and new armor materials.
Its most revolutionary feature is its system of standardized "hardpoints" across the entire body, granting it unprecedented modularity. This system allows the base chassis to be equipped with a wide variety of "Mission Packs," adapting the unit for specific roles ranging from heavy assault to electronic warfare. The F90 was not only a technical success, but its superior performance in Earth Federation tests allowed it to outperform Anaheim Electronics' prototypes, breaking the latter's monopoly and heralding a new era in mobile suit design.
The "F90 A to Z Project" continues to expand the Gundam F90's arsenal. Which of these two new Mission Packs is your favorite? Let us know in the comments below!
