Features
The Mission Pack P-Type, developed with entirely new molding, features detailed engineering to replicate its functionality. The front cowl unit on the back deploys forward to form the aerodynamic nose in reentry mode, protecting the Gundam's head. The shoulder armament includes a Vulcan cannon with a rotating sensor on the right and a Beam Cannon turret with vertical movement on the left. The wing shields attach to the arms via rotating shafts and contain smaller deployable wings, with color separation achieved through molded parts. The hip tank unit connects to the legs with wire cables and tubes and can have its lower part swapped for stabilizers. Finally, the nozzles of the leg thruster units are mounted on ball joints, allowing for independent orientation.

A key feature of this kit is the ability to recreate the "P.V. Special" configuration, a tribute to the 1991 "BB Senshi 96 Gundam F90 P/V-TYPE" kit. Using included connection parts, components from this pack can be combined with those from the "MG 1/100 Mission Pack R-Type & V-Type" (sold separately) to form a hybrid version.

F90P Gundam F90 Plunge Type
The Gundam F90 is a prototype from the Strategic Naval Research Institute's (S.N.R.I.) "Formula Project," developed in the U.C. 0110s to counter the technological dominance of Anaheim Electronics. Its design was based on a modular system of hardpoints that allowed for the equipping of up to 26 mission packs, adapting to various combat environments and roles.
The P-Type (Plunge Type) is a mission pack specifically designed to give the Gundam F90 the ability to perform atmospheric reentry autonomously. Unlike earlier units like the Z Gundam, which required a full transformation, the F90P uses a more efficient deployment of aerodynamic surfaces that form a lifting body over the existing chassis. This transformation was completed in approximately two seconds. Its integrated armament is primarily defensive, consisting of Vulcan cannons and a shoulder-mounted Beam Cannon, relying on the base F90's weaponry for offensive combat.

This Mobile Suit debuted in the Mobile Suit Gundam F90 manga (1990) and later appeared in the video game Mobile Suit Gundam F91: Formula Report 0122 (1991). The more recent manga series, Mobile Suit Gundam F90: Fastest Formula (2019–2024), has expanded its backstory, detailing the testing of the Mission Packs and the corporate intrigue of the era.
