Key Features

What distinguishes the GM Command (Space Type) are the numerous newly molded parts that faithfully recreate its design for space operations.

The head has been remodeled to include ventilation ducts in the cheeks. The chest armor presents new air intakes for improved heat dissipation, and its distinctive red color is reproduced through molded plastic. The backpack is a central piece designed from scratch, incorporating additional thrusters that drastically optimize maneuverability in zero-gravity. New armor pieces have been added to the forearms, front skirts, and shins to refine the mobile suit's silhouette.

RGM-79GS GM Command (Space Type) Lore

The RGM-79GS GM Command (Space Type) is a limited-production mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces during the final weeks of the One Year War in U.C. 0079. It was conceived as a high-performance unit specializing in the defense of strategic points and space combat. Its design is a direct evolution of the RGM-79G GM Command, optimized for zero-gravity through the installation of more powerful thrusters and larger-capacity propellant tanks.

Due to its high production cost, its deployment was limited to elite units and veteran pilots, so it never reached mass production. The most celebrated association of this mobile suit is with the "Immortal 4th Team" from the Torrington Base, a veteran unit led by Lieutenant South Banning, who gained notoriety in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory. The inclusion of decals for this unit allows modelers to recreate the machines of this legendary team.
