Key Features

The kit faithfully reproduces the functions and mechanisms of each mission type. To deliver this experience, the Master Grade kit includes the following:

  • F-Type (Fight): The forearm-mounted combat units are fully articulated and include dedicated beam effect parts. Deployable sub-arms are mounted on the waist hardpoints, capable of holding the base MG F90's beam sabers for a dynamic four-saber combat pose. The backpack features movable vector thrust paddles at the bottom of its thrusters for exceptional maneuverability.
  • M-Type (Marine): The underwater propulsion backpack is equipped with large hydro-jets, and its four fins have an independent movement mechanism for precise directional control. The right shoulder mounts a searchlight whose angle can be adjusted, while the left features a snorkel camera that can be displayed extended or retracted. The 6-Barrel Arrow Launcher has a front grip that allows the mobile suit to hold it with both hands.

Mobile Suit Overview

The F90 Gundam is the centerpiece of the Strategic Naval Research Institute's (S.N.R.I.) "Formula Project." It was developed in the late U.C. 0110s as part of an Earth Federation initiative to reverse the trend of oversized, costly mobile suits and to break the manufacturing monopoly of Anaheim Electronics. Its design concept is based on a highly adaptable base chassis with a system of "Mission Packs," allowing it to respond to any combat situation. Its trial by fire occurred during the Oldsmobile War (U.C. 0120-0121), when Unit 1 pursued the stolen Unit 2, piloted by Zeon remnants, to Mars.

F90F Gundam F90 Fight Type

This is the close-quarters combat specification of the F90, designed to overwhelm the enemy with agility and a formidable melee arsenal. The combination of beam blades on the arms and additional beam sabers on the sub-arms makes it a formidable adversary in close-range engagements. This focus on extreme agility and proximity combat represents an evolutionary link to the F97 Crossbone Gundam, positioning the F-Type as a philosophical and technological ancestor to that iconic late-U.C. unit.

F90M Gundam F90 Marine Type

This configuration equips the F90 for amphibious and underwater operations, a notoriously hostile environment for mobile suits. Its equipment, including homing torpedoes and an underwater arrow launcher, is optimized to neutralize naval threats. Unlike the Zeon's purpose-built amphibious mobile suits, the F90M is an adaptation of a general-purpose platform. This illustrates a fundamental shift in the Federation's military doctrine, favoring versatility, logistical efficiency, and cost-effectiveness over absolute performance in a specific niche.
