Bandai Spirits has announced a reissue of the Premium Bandai exclusive expansion set, the PG UNLEASHED 1/60 CLEAR COLOR BODY FOR RX-78-2 GUNDAM. This set is specifically designed to complement the base "PG UNLEASHED 1/60 RX-78-2 Gundam" kit (sold separately), allowing modelers to showcase the complex and detailed internal structure that is the hallmark of the Perfect Grade Unleashed line of Gundam model kits.

Features
This expansion set replaces the exterior armor parts of the PG UNLEASHED RX-78-2 Gundam kit with fully transparent armor. The design utilizes multiple colors of translucent plastic to maintain the integrity of the original color scheme: the white parts are molded in a high-transparency plastic, while the red, yellow, and blue sections are reproduced in their respective translucent colors. The weapon parts and other specific sections employ a smoke-black transparent plastic.
A key feature of these parts is their ability to reveal the internal lattice structure, functional pistons, and multiple metallic finishes of the base kit's skeleton. Additionally, the translucent armor interacts with the PG UNLEASHED Gundam's RGB LED unit, diffusing light across its surface to create a unique and striking visual effect.

About the RX-78-2 Gundam
The RX-78-2 Gundam is the iconic protagonist mobile suit from the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, set during the One Year War in UC 0079. Developed in secret by the Earth Federation under "Project V," it was a high-performance close-combat unit that introduced revolutionary technologies for its time. Its innovations included Lunar Titanium Alloy armor, a learning computer system that optimized its combat performance, and pioneering Minovsky particle-based weaponry, which featured a portable beam rifle and high-energy beam sabers. Piloted by the young civilian Amuro Ray, who awakened as the first Newtype, the Gundam became a symbol of hope for the Federation and a legend on the battlefield.
