Collectible figure company MegaHouse has announced the release of the G.M.G. Collection 07 Mobile Suit Gundam Earth Federation Forces Kai Shiden Normal Suit Ver. Scheduled for late November 2025, this figure joins the Gundam Military Generation (G.M.G.) lineup. Its arrival coincides with the release of a Ramba Ral figure and the re-issue of the Char Aznable and Sayla Mass figures, a strategy aimed at fans of the original Mobile Suit Gundam series.

Philosophy of the G.M.G. Line

Born in Universal Century 0061, Kai Shiden was a civilian from the Side 7 colony before being forcibly recruited into the White Base crew during the One Year War. Initially, his personality was cynical, selfish, and cowardly, leading to constant friction with his comrades. Despite his fear, he was assigned the RX-77-2 Guncannon support Mobile Suit, proving to be a competent and resilient pilot. His evolution from a complaining civilian to a pragmatic soldier who survived the entire war is one of the most appreciated character arcs in the franchise. His complex personality and combat role are reflected in the figure's accessories, such as his helmet with a desperate combat expression. After the war, he reinvented himself as a journalist, using his position to help his former comrades during the conflicts of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
