Bandai Spirits has announced a highly anticipated collectible action figure from the groundbreaking series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The latest addition to the prestigious S.H.Figuarts line is Nyaan, with pre-orders opening on July 17, 2025. This will be an exclusive release through the Tamashii Web Shop, operated by Premium Bandai.
The significance of this announcement lies in its origin series, an unprecedented collaboration between Sunrise and Studio Khara, the team behind Rebuild of Evangelion. The plot of GQuuuuuuX presents a divergence in the Universal Century timeline, set in U.C. 0085 after a decisive Principality of Zeon victory in the One Year War altered the geopolitical order. Character Summary: Nyaan
Nyaan is a 17-year-old girl originally from the Side 2 colony. After her home is destroyed, she is forced to live as a refugee in the Izuma colony (Side 6), where she survives by taking on illegal courier jobs. Although initially somewhat careless and exploited due to her situation, her life changes upon meeting the series' protagonist, Amate "Machu" Yuzuriha. Her narrative arc reaches a critical point when she violently awakens her latent Newtype powers in the midst of battle, revealing a hidden potential that redefines her role in the story.
