About the RMS-099 Rick Dias

The RMS-099 Rick Dias is a mass-produced Mobile Suit developed by Anaheim Electronics. Its armor is composed of the advanced Gundarium γ alloy, providing robust defense with reduced weight, which allows for greater propellant capacity and enhances its overall performance. A unique design feature is the cockpit's location in the head, equipped with a panoramic monitor and a linear seat. The backpack integrates a pair of ejectable Random Binders that function as thrusters and fuel tanks, improving maneuverability through the AMBAC system. Its fixed armament consists of two 55mm Vulcan Phalanx guns in the head, while its handheld equipment includes a beam saber, two beam pistols, and a clay bazooka capable of firing both adhesive and explosive rounds.

Originally known as the "Gamma Gundam," its final design merged AEUG technology with Zeon's characteristic mono-eye. Although the prototypes were black and gray, Quattro Bajeena's red unit scheme was adopted as the production standard. It became the primary unit for elite AEUG pilots without a custom suit, used by figures such as Amuro Ray, Roberto, Apolly, Kamille Bidan, and Emma Sheen.
