Bandai Spirits has announced a reissue of the prototype Mobile Suit, the F90III-Y "Cluster Gundam," a key development from the Strategic Naval Research Institute's (SNRI) "Formula Project." This release features entirely new molds to deliver a faithful representation of its design. Key features include its docking capability with the F90 III Core Fighter and full compatibility with the expansive line of Mission Packs.

Key Features

This kit faithfully reproduces the Gundam F90III-Y, codenamed "YOUNG STAR," using completely new molds. A central feature is the F90 III Core Fighter, which includes an opening and closing cockpit and can be equipped with the F90 III Core Booster. The Core Fighter's nose and backpack are foldable, allowing it to dock with the Mobile Suit's fuselage. The cockpit hatch on the Cluster Gundam's body is also functional, revealing the docked Core Fighter within.

The armament includes a new dedicated beam rifle with a movable sight and foregrip, and two Mega Beam Bazookas that can be holstered on the rear hardpoints or connected at the hips to create a convergence firing mode. It also features beam saber hilts with a design distinct from the standard Gundam F90 and a beam shield constructed from transparent parts, whose generator can be moved to simulate its stored state. Through parts-swapping, the model is compatible with various Mission Packs from the "A to Z PROJECT" series.

About the F90III-Y Cluster Gundam

The F90III-Y Cluster Gundam is the third unit developed in the F90 series by the Earth Federation Forces' Strategic Naval Research Institute (SNRI). Its defining characteristic, setting it apart from previous F90 units, is the integration of a Core Block System that serves as its cockpit. In an emergency, this system can transform into a Core Fighter for evacuation, increasing the pilot's survival rate and safeguarding stored data. Additionally, the Core Fighter can combine with the Cluster Gundam's backpack to form a Core Booster, enhancing the small craft's thrust and acceleration. Like other F90 units, the Cluster Gundam is equipped with multiple hardpoints for a wide variety of equipment and beam weaponry, such as the powerful Mega Beam Bazooka.
