Features
The "Wings of Light" feature an irregular, wavy shape treated with a gradient print and a holographic surface finish. This combination of techniques produces a complex light reflection that shifts depending on the viewing angle and lighting conditions. The set is designed to attach seamlessly to the "RG 1/144 Destiny Gundam," including both the [Titanium Finish] and standard retail versions.

About the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam
The Destiny Gundam is equipped with a combat variant of the Voiture Lumiere propulsion system, which uses an internal laser to convert its energy into strong light pressure for thrust. Unlike the system on the GSX-401FW Stargazer Gundam, it does not rely on solar winds or an external energy beam. When activated for high-speed maneuvers, this system generates the effect known as the "Wings of Light."

Additionally, when used with the Mirage Colloid system, it can create afterimages—a tactic Shinn Asuka frequently employed to rapidly close in on opponents and strike with the "Arondight" beam sword. This maneuver proved particularly effective against large, less agile adversaries, though it was less successful against highly mobile units like the Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice. The speed from the Voiture Lumiere, combined with the afterimages, also allowed the mobile suit to evade multi-directional attacks from the DRAGOON system.
