The AMX-011 Zaku III stands as one of Neo Zeon's most prominent war machines, featured in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. Conceived as the direct successor to the iconic MS-06 Zaku II, this Mobile Suit encapsulated the rapid technological advancements in weapons production a decade after the One Year War. Its versatile and robust design, adaptable to multiple combat roles, positioned it as a formidable opponent. This model kit was released by Bandai in September 2000, marking the 14th entry in the acclaimed High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) line.

Features
As a product representative of its era, the kit's articulation is functional but limited by modern standards. The head features a full rotation, while the elbows achieve a 90-degree bend. The primary constraint lies in the knees, where articulation is restricted to about 40 degrees due to the design of the rear leg armor. Nevertheless, the model compensates for these limitations with several distinctive mechanisms faithful to its original design. The front skirt armor panels can be lifted and pivoted forward to deploy the integrated beam cannons. Additionally, the heat blade can be attached to the beam rifle, and the model features heel claws that can be deployed to enhance stability in static poses.

AMX-011 Zaku III
The AMX-011 Zaku III is a general-purpose Mobile Suit developed by Neo Zeon, featuring drastic improvements in power output, sensor range, and acceleration. Despite its technical superiority, the design lost the competition to become Neo Zeon's primary mass-production Mobile Suit to the AMX-014 Doven Wolf. However, a limited run of units was manufactured and participated in key events like the Dublin Colony Drop incident. Its most notable pilot in the production version was Rakan Dahkaran. The most famous variant is the AMX-011S Zaku III Custom, a prototype unit piloted by Mashymre Cello, which featured optional equipment and a different head and backpack design.

The manual highlights the Zaku III's stats and weapons, as detailed in the article.
