Bandai Spirits announces the new HGGQ 1/144 MS-09R Rick Dom (GQ) model kit, based on the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX series. Scheduled for release in September 2025, this kit expands the High Grade GQuuuuuuX lineup, featuring the iconic mobile suit as piloted by Gaia and Ortega.

Kit Features

This model kit offers a wide range of customization options. The left hand is interchangeable, and all weapons can be equipped in the default weapon-holding hand parts. One or two Heat Sabers can be detached from the backpack for use as handheld weapons. The Taser and its cable connect to a specialized dorsal piece, which can be swapped with any of the hand parts. A key feature is the third leg, which can be reconfigured as both a thruster and a stabilizer. The Rick Dom is also compatible with Action Bases (sold separately) for dynamic posing.

MS-09 Rick Dom Overview

The MS-09 Rick Dom is a heavy combat Mobile Suit from the Principality of Zeon, modified from a terrestrial design for space combat. Its most distinctive characteristic is its third rear leg, which acts as a stabilizer for its hover engines on the ground and as an additional thruster for enhanced maneuverability in space, comparable to that of the RX-78-02 Gundam. Its standard armament includes two Scattering Beam Cannons in the chest, two Heat Sabers on the back, a Giant Bazooka, and a cabled Taser on the left arm. The third leg can extend fully to align its thrusters with those of the regular legs, optimizing linear thrust—a tactic employed by the Binarys squadron in their jet stream attack.
